This is an old information sheet or magazine ad regarding the MKb 42 (H).

SHOEI has announced that the current production run of the MKb 42 (H) should be completed at the end of December and then shipped out to customers. Sadly they cannot make it in-time for Christmas.

A few models are still available.

I was able to see a MKb 42 (H) and MP 44/StGW 44 side by side in a museum in Suhl, Germany in October. It was great to explore the differences, as well as realizing how realistic the SHOEI models are.

The MKb 42 (H) is a really interesting piece and not known well, as most people think it is just a MP43/MP44/StGw 44.

As it is deeply connected to Suhl the museum there is showing one of the few remaining rifles.

The MKb42 (H) made by Haenel was the first Semi/Fully Automatic rifle using the short intermediate cartridge. Of particular note is the much longer gas tube and the fact it was an Open Bolt firing gun.
As the War progressed, development of the rifle and its' design changed until it ended as the MP44 then renamed StG44.

The photos MadMike posted do indeed show how realistic Shoei's replicas are.

Not long ago SHOEI has finished the production run of the MKb 42 (H) model. Most are already shipped, but very few may still be available. If you want one please ask a seller in your country or contacht Tomio at SHOEI.
