| But the dude on MG props never answers any emails at all. Well, it is his loss and Johns gain. |

| I have used both MG-PROPS and PFCGUK in the past. John over on PFCGUK and also a member here on the Forum has been extremely helpful in the past and I would highly recommend him.
I have e-mailed MG-PROPS before regarding purchasing from them, they replied quite promptly, usually within a few days.

| Hi Folks, Yes one of my flaws (of which I have many ) is trying to keep up with everything, I hope I get you sorted after not too long, but yes sometimes delays happen. sorry !!! Oh HotrodSwede, I am looking into your question, poke me on FB if I dissapear again I think you would be shocked if you knew how many emails a day this business gets.... I would imagine Jay the same... I for one love the practical guns side, but the business paperwork and admin kills so much time.. time is what there is not enough of (dont say get staff PFC business does not pay well ) Keep safe with this virus about and look after the weak who cannot look after themselves.. | |

| Keep safe with this virus about and look after the weak who cannot look after themselves... I second this. Stay inside when possible, clean brass, stock up on caps, and annoy the better half with constant snap, crackle and pop as you do consecutive may dumps | |

| I emailed MG last Friday, no reply yet. Have just tried again. Hopefully not badly impacted by the current state of things. | |

| I have emailed MG props from all three emails I have, on both hello and sales. No dice. I am done with that guy. |

| Still nothing. I don’t think I fully understand his business model - there’s a website, there’s an appearance of trade, but the only means of ordering is an email that appears to be unchecked.
Am I missing something? Is there a secret handshake required to get a response? It is all very odd.

If you are trying to buy caps from MG-Props without ever having bought a gun from them, then you will not get an reply. Caps are exclusively for those that have bought guns from them. Once you have bought a gun, then Jay will keep you supplied with caps.

| If he put that on his site then I’d know that. If he replied then I’d know that! I was also enquiring about ordering accessories, again no answer. I don’t criticise a policy (even if I don’t agree with it), but it is rather odd not to reply at all. | |

I know what you mean, I don't understand it either. I can only assume he gets lots of emails from people who just want caps, maybe too time consuming to answer. He should do as Plugfirecapguns have done, and state it on his website. The problem with PFG, is supply and demand. More demand than supply!! There is little choice of suppliers, just two that I know of. We have to dance to their tune, because there is nowhere else to buy from.

| In my experience if Jay can't supply something he just doesn't respond. If you mail him asking for an item in stock he'll get back to you straight away. He has a good range but his after service can be hit and miss. I had a trigger break on a saa and he got a new one in the post next day, but then chasing him for carts for a gun I've purchased off him, I've had to go begging to John after a couple of months of no response. John on the other hand goes the extra mile every time. | |

| Hi Everyone The cap situation is VERY hard, getting them into the UK takes Months of jumping through hoops legally, the cost involved with having to pay "explosive approved" middle men is huge. No profit is made on them at all, we sell them so we can sell the guns..... I wish it were easier but at the moment with this virus it may get tough for a few months, but that said there is no reason if I keep grinding away why the should not be avialable later in better qtys.... Look after each other and stay lucky !! John PFCGUK Ltd | |

| And John we appreciate the effort you put in, otherwise we'd have no caps at all Gone are the days of our friends in Japan putting a couple of boxes in the post for £3 each as with the latest round of airfreight terror issues they are likely to get arrested now. I'm not sure how this can be solved as we are all spread out over many territories. | |

| Hi John, if the cap situation is that bad then why don’t we get into manufacturing them in the UK? I’ve got time on my hands due to the current situation, and used to make all my own stage pyrotechnics back in the day, so... I’d need to work out the specs required in terms of explosive force. What would people be prepared to pay for a reliable supply? | |

| Just thought I’d throw my experience in here, unfortunately after a good few messages (email/even Facebook) I never did get an answer from plugfire..... so purchased a new model from Jay @ MG props.
I’m “new” to collecting again (having owned a few many, many years ago)
I’m guessing plugfire didn’t have either item in stock I was after (although shown on website) Hence my messages being forgotten? . It’s a shame either way but a big vote for Jay @ MG props from me

I'd pay the same price that Plugfire charge, I just want a reliable sauce without having to ration my shots. I'd also be interested in how to make them if you know how and would share your knowhow.

| Don't know the laws in UK, but those caps contain phosphorus; a chemical that is critical and maybe it isn't disposable in the UK. Years ago, I contacted some pyrotechnicians here in Germany and asked them, if they are able to produce caps. All told me with regard to the phosphorus: Forget it!
