In Japan, there are many people enjoying that they obtain accessories for RealGun,
and dress up their ModelGun.
The grip which is put on when I won it in ModelGun is made by plastic,
and what I change in grip of RealGun is done in particular flourishingly
because there are many toy-like things.
Will it be so in a country of all of you?

Hi Probelx,

Yes, we like to put real grips on our modelguns too, as the factory plastic grips don't look very good and they don't look realistic either.

I have only one modelgun that I have put real grips on (my Marushin Colt Combat Commander) The actual grips can be expensive in the U.S. for certain types of guns.

I know that MGC made very nice reproductions of real gun grips and holsters do you see the MGC holsters for sale often in Japan?

Probelx、

Well. It is a very exciting topic. Luckily, it is possible and totally legal to do this in Hong Kong. Both the real gun or modelgun grips and stocks are freely and legally available in those modelgun shops here. However, they are not cheap.
The most popular pistol grips are for the M1911 and M92F.
I particularly like the wooden grip for M1911, it fits the MGC M1911 perfectly. The Hogue rubber grip also fits the Marushin M92F perfectly. Besides, the S&W revolver's grips are also widely available (but very expensive) and they generally fit the Kokusai corresponding revolvers.
Tanaka also supplies wooden grips for its P38, P08 and revolvers airsoft but I heard they may not fit other brands' modelguns.

Getting realistic grips on modelguns is very interesting and enjoyable but it is also very expensive. E.g. a pair of wooden M1911 grip costs from US$40-100. A Hogue M92F rubber grip costs around US$40-50.

By the way, I'm still looking for a wooden grip for my Marushin Enfield No.2 Mark 1 revolver ! Real wooden grip particularly enhances very much the outlook of the classic pistols like M1911, ancient revolvers, P08, P38.

Speaking of wooden grips, I have seen wooden Beretta M93R grips before on KSC M93R's in various Japanese modelgun shops and websites.

Are these real Beretta M93R grips? I would like to buy a set of them, does anyone know where to find them?

I have seen them on one of the airsoft sites, wooden grips for the airsoft model but the airsoft and modelgun are basically the same i think.

I will check the sites and let you know which one.

That's great claymore! I would definitely appreciate the information! And yes, the M93R airsoft that is produced by KSC/KJ are identical to the modelgun version (grips and small parts wise)

Anyways my M93R's would certainly look better with the wooden grip pannels!

Mark, it is den trinity who have the wooden grips for the 93R they are mulberry field ones $52, which for me in the UK seems a good price but for you maybe not.

Thanks for the link claymore! I didn't even think to check dentrinity for them as I didn't figure that they carried them!

The M93R grips look great but, I have seen some much nicer versions than the ones that they show, the versions that I have seen, have the Beretta emblem laser engraved into the grip panels.

Thanks again!

I rather like wooden grip to go to the ancient pistols. Dress Up my Modelgun Icon_rolleyes
Wood makes things look & feel more classic. Ancient pistols are of course classic. They are perfect match.

Anyone knows where I could find the wooden grip for my Marushin Enfield No.2 Mark 1 revolver ?

Thanks so much Mark.
So it is the grip for the real Enfield.
The problem is how can we know the grip designed for real one could fit to the particular model of modelgun before someone tried it before ?
I know Marushin produced the wooden grip for its Enfield long time ago. I wonder if it can still be available somewhere.

I have experience of trying to buy the Python wooden grip gun) in Hong Kong. Fortunately I could bring my modelgun to the shop & try before buy. The result is neither the MGC nor the Kokusai Python could take the real Python wooden grip ! Dress Up my Modelgun Icon_sad

I see...That is what I thought..I have tried to use MGC grips on my real Combat Commander but, they don't fit with out working on them..I think what the problem is is that the modelguns are made with metric tolerances where as the real guns in most cases(American, British etc.)are in Inch tolerances which makes the interchange difficult.

But, I think that it might be worth buying the real Enfield grips and fitting them to the Marushin might be worth it...

Grip made by mulberry field obtained in dentrinity is the best.
I can mount modelgun without doing a fine adjustment entirely. Besides, important mechanism (3-birst) completely works.
A maker except it releases grip for 93R, but needs a little adjustment of the user side.
I think that it is a thing made by altamont that saw Mark.
This seems to have hit or miss.
Because I own this, I show a photograph later.
About grip of a gun except it, we are the same situation, too. Now Marushin does not supply grip of Marushin Enfield.
Therefore, there is not a method except that we purchase realgun grip and arrange it.
In such a meaning, people living in the country which is easy to obtain grip of rialgun are envious of us.

Hi probelx,

Thanks for the information! Mullberry field makes very nice parts and cartridges!

I think that I have seen the other grips that you mention. They look very nice and they look very expensive, I don't know if they are factory Beretta or someone else.

Altamont? I have not heard of them, are they Japanese? or ?

If altamont made the grips that I have seen they look the best of all of the Beretta grips that I have yet seen..

Do you need any real gun grips? I have 2-3 pairs of real wooden gun grips that I will trade for modelgun cartridges! (I have mostly Smith&Wesson grips M19,M29,M10) perhaps, we can work something out..

Altamont?

I want them by all means. realgun-grip is very expensive in Japan.
If a condition matches, let's do trade.
At first would you show a photograph?
In addition, is modelgun cartridges of which type necessary?
By the way, this is a photograph of altamont grip for 93R which I own.
http://www.geocities.jp/plobelx/93Rgrip.JPG
This is black-walnut, but Rosewood and a checkers type are released elsewhere, too.
Because it is sold in Japan by an import agency, I consider altamontgrip to be a maker for realgun.
http://www.sksman.com/grips/grips1.html
But a letter of Beretta is not found in this site.
I imagine that they may make it exclusively for Japanese Toygun.
Because realgun93R is not the gun which generally spreads widely.
About a price, a lower site may be useful.
http://www.tokyo-model.com.hk/trade/itemlist/130?current_category_id=54
http://www.geocities.jp/plobelx/93Rgrip.JPG
http://www.sksman.com/grips/grips1.html

Hi Probelx,

Ok, there is a gun show in town tomorrow.

1. I can buy more grips, what types do you want?

2. I can get more grips tomorrow if you let me know what types that you want tonight (04/2/05)

3. I can buy them and then I can email you the pictures of the grips that you want (if I can find them for you) tomorrow (04/3/05).

4. Then, we can discuss the arrangements for cartridges etc.

Probelx、

Hi Mark
I am sorry that a reply is late.
I think that I am not in time for gun show anymore.
What I need now || as follows.

1.Walnut TargetStocks for N-frame
2.Walnut TargetStocks for K/N-frame
3.Walnut Grip(or Rubber grip) for M39

However, nothing has to be a new article.
The reason is because one having a wound a little has a feeling of reality.
For a budget, I think for about $ 30.
At this price, I know that I cannot purchase a new article.
How will be it in trade with modelgun cartridges2 - 3case/1pairs of grips this time?
Therefore, at first please show grips which you own even if you do not purchase it at a show.
Thank you

1.Walnut TargetStocks for N-frame
2.Walnut TargetStocks for K/N-frame
3.Walnut Grip(or Rubber grip) for M39

OK. This is another form of dress-up, or add-on to my USP.
All parts of bridge, torch, laser aim which are cheap ABS plastics, come from those cheap springer sets and thus very cheap.
It is just for fun. Of course, it's also good for display purpose.

I have always wanted to modify my 1911 and 92F to add compensators etc. I would like to make my 1911's look like the ones that are used in the new Punisher movie, and my 92F look like the dolphins used in Underworld (and I am sure that someone is going to try and convince me that they are actually 93's used in Underworld, but I dont believe you). I know that these parts would serve no functional use on this type of gun, but I want them for cosmetic reasons.

Does anybody know where I can this sort of accessory from?

I can find pretty much most things on the internet such as holsters, sights, grips etc, but not any compensators. These parts used to easy to get before some burocratic idiot decided that people like me (and probably many other model gun collector) cannot be trusted to have real guns.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
