Hi,
Like I said in my presentation, I have a old replica RMI Colt 45 1911A1.
Last year I was robbed. The thief took the Walther PPK, Colt 45 and an original Napoleonic bayonet from me.
After two days, the police had found the walther PPK, which I cleaned and placed in the museum I am in charge of.
The Colt 45 only came back to me two months ago, after being found by the police. It was returned to me in a deplorable state. A real ruin.
I would like to find parts or have photos in respectable size of the missing parts so that I reproduce them and that I can restore this Colt 45.Last year I was robbed. The thief took the Walther PPK, Colt 45 and an original Napoleonic bayonet from me.

Here are some photo of my poor replica, destroyed by the robber.
Do you have pictures or parts for this one?
Thank you for your help and advices...

Oh hell! that is terrible, sometime its best not to get things back. That said you can polish that up, get the black off and re-blue, as for spares it may take a while but parts do come up from time to time. You could try airsoft parts it is possible some may fit straight on or with a little bit of adjustment.

Hi Claymore, Yes, it's awful. I'm hangry about this robber.
I know that finding original parts for this one would be very hard, it's the reason I'd like to have someone who have one to give me the specification of all parts, if I may rebuilt these one to restore it, it could help me.
Also, Sorry for my poor english, but french is my motherlanguage, and I've rarely the possibilities to speak english then, i'll may make lot of mistakes, or sometimes I would be misunderstand.
Sometimes I saw some of this replica on Ebay or other site, but no one would send to Belgium...
I'd like to restore it to put it in my museum, on my US air force pilot mannequin, and then complete this uniform.
Thank you.

No apologies on your English, its brilliant and lets be honest we Brits are pretty lazy and usless when it comes to speaking another language, so no apologies. As i said parts are hard to find for older models but they do come up, best way of getting parts form another country is to have the bits you need sent as spares, your not breaking any customs laws then and everyone feels ok about just sending spare parts. As i said airsoft may be a possibility, they do a lot of custom stuff for models sush as the 45, hammers, mag release etc, not usually too expensive so could be worth a try. I will keep an eye out for parts, also maybe a Denix 45 could be a donor, no always great models but could have what you need.

I saw on Soldier of fortune in england a replica of colt 45. .sofmilitary.co.uk/colt-45-model-gun-strip-able-made-in-japan.html
I've contacted them, but impossible for me to order one because I'm out of England
So, I've made search on the forum for more information and I've foud these two posts: mp40modelguns.forumotion.net/t4137-mgc-colt-m1911-govn-mt-exploded-diagram?highlight=colt+45+RMI mp40modelguns.forumotion.net/t4142-mgc-colt-m1911-govn-mt-commander-gm1-exploded-diagram?highlight=colt+45+RMI
Do you think it could be possible to have an high definition copy of these pictures. Also if someone know japanese for the translation... Maybe....
I've no idea about the production year of mine, I can read on it: M-1911 A1 - 67.
It seems very difficult to order parts from Belgium, lot of shop refuse to deliver to my country.
If you have ideas or informations about parts to send, let me a message.
Thanks for all.

Being the victim of burglary and theft must be terrible. The Police did well to find your pistols but it's heartbreaking to see your Colt 1911 in such a bad condition.
I do not have the original drawings that you have posted links to I'm sorry. If you click on the drawings you will be directed to another page which magnifies the drawing a little.
It is possible another forum member may have original drawings.
I am sure we can help you somehow restore or replace your Colt.

I've downloaded these pictures and print it. It's a first step for me to have more ideas of pieces needed.
If someone who have one could take picture of this one and the pieces, it could also help me more then by a drawed image.
I'm looking on Ebay japan, there's a lot of parts and copy. I don't know If they agree to send to Belgium.

After more and more research, speaking with some japanese collectors, apparently, mine is not a MGC model, They said that all MGC models were in plastic. mine is in full metal. Also, years by years, the model changed, thers was fisrt the GM1 to GM5 So, When RMI takes the production, they modified some parts. Mine is completely different from japanese models manufactured by MGC.
I've contact GunBroker.com, and I continue to search also in Europe...

Number 26 Hammer

The part that is very hard to get is the magazine I will be able to check my parts in a week or so. I think I have most parts, but the mag is an issue..

I'm about to get a decent load of modelguns from the liquidation of a collection / theater inventory. There are several old MGC / RMI 1911s among them, exactly the same models as yours, probably in varying conditions.
I'm sure, I can offer you one as a parts donator or alternatively as a complete replacement, if you'd be interested in that. Will know more end of next week.
Cheers!

So, here we go Pardon my language, I got a crapload of old RMI/MGC models including several 67 1911s.
There are two incomplete ones among them, both have missing their magbutton, one has missing its safety, on one, the trigger doesn't work, only one has a magazine, both are missing their plastic grips.
Here's a foto of both:
They differ, obviously No.1 is a newer model, No.2 is a more simple construction just as yours.
Closer look:
Slide construction:
Maybe someone here can shed some light on from when No.1 exactly might be?
If you're interested @ Spitfire, please just drop me a message. I think you could build a complete gun using your 1911 and my No.2 1911 - you'd just need a leaf spring for the magbutton. I can also look for grips, maybe airsoft grips fit these. Additionally, frame and slide on my No.2 are in far better condition than what that thief has left you with on yours
If anyone else is interested in No.1, let me know

Subject: Parts for MGC colt 1911 Fri Sep 09, 2022 4:24 pm
Hi, For finishing my MGC colt 45 1911, I need to find the right grip, or if it is not possible to have one, is there someone who could help me by making a cotation of its one and I'll try to rebuilt it with a 3D printer.
I've received two grips, but they are not compatible to my MGC model.
Thank to help me.
