so I'm planning on buying a kokusai m60 .38 special soon and i want to make it look like mine here:
but here is the kokusai one:
my question is, is the grip on the model gun longer than the real steel? because it looks like it is so I'm worried that the hogue grip wont fit on it. does anyone know if it is in fact longer or am i just crazy? _________________ ONE SHOT ONE KILL

Welcome to this forum usmcgrunt ,
The answer in short - NO...I ordered several Hogue grips (incl. the one shown on your pic) - the K-frame fits (for my 2" M10 & M19) but not the J-frame (namely this M36) because the angle of the "hammer strip" (I'll edit this term once I find the correct term for it) gets in the way so although you can fit the grips but you can't put the screw back on...
I might show some pics later as to explain the situation better...

OK...the "angle" of the mainspring on modelgun M36 differs from S&W's so it gets in the way and there's no way you can put the screw back on...(at least that's what happened to me so maybe I've to buy to deact. M36 in order to make the grip useful...)
Maybe somebody from this forum can work out how to modify either the grip or the gun (whichever you like) to make it fit...

I think we all got mistaken somehow...the grips on the Marushin M36 8mm airsoft is actually the clone of Uncle Mikes (not Hogue) and I actually ordered the grips straight from S&W and they're made by Uncle Mikes as well...

So MAYBE the J Round Hogue Bantam can fit since the screw area is on the butt instead of the middle (but I'm not certain if the dimensions of the grips for both the real and the modelgun are the same...)

OK...these pics show the Hogue Bantam grip fits the M36/60 perfectly...
