New Addition... French Pistol made by Nakata

No idea why i bought this,just thought it was very unusual

Also i was horrified when it arrived to find it had merely been stuffed into a jiffy bag-no padding etc-outline of pistol was clearly visible and part of the barrel was poking out of the bag.
I am ultra paranoid what with the hysteria surrounding all things guns(even though im 100% legit re the VCR)and was shocked to see it sent this way

Hello mate, always good to read about interesting models, but without a detailed description or (even better) a picture this thread is quite pointless ...

Sorry, didn't know that you were about posting pictures.

Nice model though and a good supplement for every modelgun collection and collector interested in modelgun history.

Interesting gun and I think the finish could be restored, but the big screw on the left side bothers me somehow.

Its not complete and someone at one time seems to have "botched" some parts with home made pieces which is a shame but to be honest is like all my other PFC weapons for display only and will never be used.

well its a nakata and finding a complete nakata aint easy. it looks like or similar to a sig 210. nice find, i would think it could be rubbed down and refinished no problem.

I believe its a WW2 French pistol lookalike-no idea how accurate is is/or not

I am assuming this is a Marlin pistol from France, as claymore mentioned, there should be some commection with SIG P210 (or P47/. I thought SIG inspired by the Marlin, or other way around.

No idea what a MArlin is but its supposed to be i believe a repro of the French Mle35 WW2 pistol

Nice find Richard ... I can honestly say I`ve not seen that particular one before ... Nakata certainly made some odd models.

The delivery was a little scary though ...especially as someone at Royal mail told me quite often "interesting items" in jiffy bags get "mislaid" as the bags are easily split .

God you`d only need one jobsworth postman and you`d have loads of muddy bootmarks all over your carpet

Nice unusual item to see on the forum though ...

Thanks Doc,tep i seriously expected a visit from armed plod
I would never ever dream of sending anything like that so poorly packed.
Bought as its different and WW2 but will most certainly end up being used as a "trading" tool
