The Real Thing... Firing a Real Thompson...

Hi guys, thought i would just post this vid of a real thompson firing as i know we all like to compare ther real thing to the models we own.

I fired in this one if florida recently, dont you just love the states and the fact that you can just walk into a range and fire something like this. The owner was a great bloke and we had a good chat whilst i fired off a number of weapons, i would of spent the whole holiday there if a could but the wife would not let me, drat.
Notice how low the recoil is this was one very controlable gun, i have fired a far few military weapons in my time but this thompson was a joy to fire.

Great! Looks like you had lots of fun. And one can see that you are very familiar with firearms, the way you handle it looks really professional to me.

BTW how long did it take untill you had to shout "I´m out of ammo!"?

Wow nice one, I'd love to fire a real thompson. It's probably a bit unprofessional, but i'd have shot from the hip for a bit too

That vid also shows how most real weapons lack huge muzzle flashes, unlike the hollywood style propane guns.

Looks like you were having lots of fun. Couldnt you have just got the missus a three day pass for Disneyland or something?

cheers guys, it was great fun and not expensive, i fired the thompson and 200 rounds of 45 and i fired the Kimber 45 auto and 100 rounds total cost if i remember was $120 which was gun hire range cost and rounds pretty good in my book for full auto fun.

It was the last day in Florida and we had a flight to catch so was stuck for time but i will plan it better next visit.
