Wanted: .45 cartridges for Marushin Colt 1911

Hello, I'm looking for some Marushin or compatible cartridges (Mulberry...) for a Marushin Colt 45 MKIV (centerfire)

dentrinity is out of stock on these items. They don't seem to update their site often, as many of the cap guns/accessories I tried to order there were OOS, even if the site says otherwise

Not just the site BUT the stock & the shop as well Chameloon...their display cabinet for modelguns & accessories is getting empty (gasguns as well but modelguns are obvious) and they're now the only gun shop here in HK that closes on Mondays...

It seems in a way that they are slowly out of the game ...

Hey, just ordered some Wa Shan 1911 cartridges from John at www.plugfirecapgunsuk.com, they look very nice, but they do not cycle in my Marushin 1911...the cartridges are significantly smaller than the Marushin, and though they fit the magazine and chamber, they will not extract as the rim is too small for the extractor to do it's job.

I'll say Wa Shan 1911 copied old MGC 1911 mechanism that's why it fails to cycle...

True. I have a marushin colt commander and carts don't work in was shan and reverse too...

so jim that means Wa Shans turn out to be MGC compatible instead of marushin?

Unfortunately no as Wa shan internals are Marushin based, and MGC internals very different.., though Of course you could modify the Marushin pin to take MGC carts... Maybe !! but MGC carts are more powerful I think and may damage the marushin.... they often break the MGC's !!!!

Who said model guns were simple but I love the Fiddle factor !!!!

MGC carts themselves more powerful? if the 7mm cap used with a marushin cartridge is also used on (well obviously not the SAME one) a MGC cart...why would the MGC more likely damage marushin internals?

The "effect" of any explosion has much to do with the containment of the reaction, MGC cart design just seems better designed to make the most of the pressure generated by a 7mm cap, stronger blowback...

hmm I'm still curious to try out a few MGC carts on the marushin, sounds tempting since marushins seem to be so difficult to find..has anyone actually experienced damage on their gun while doing this?

or, I can just stick with those precious 5 carts that came with the model gun kit lol

Sorry frenchy don't have any old-design MGC 1911 for exact comparison...say so because both types of rounds look almost identical (cup-shaped) and also reckon Wa Shan copied old MGC recoil spring & guide as well...

But since now you see it...then it seems I'm correct on this one: maybe rechambering will work?

What do you mean rechambering? I tried cycling them several times, no ejection with wa shan. here's a photo of both cartridges next to each other
