Tanaka G17... Real Steel Mags?

Hi i just got my first model gun and it was a tanaka glock 17 (thanks banjoe) and i was wondering if real steel g17 mags would work in this?

Hi,

By real steel, don't you actually mean real plastic?

I don't know at this point if real, plastic, Glock magazines will fit and function in your Tanaka. Now, www.dentrinity.com has in their collectors area, under the modelgun accessories spare Tanaka Glock magazines.

If it is because you want to go for uber realism on your Glock, then try one. You would need to swap out the spring for the Tanaka one if it does fit as the real one is much to powerful for the model. I know that the real USP magazine fits into the modelgun USP that Tanaka makes, so I would be happy to gamble on the Glock being the same. You can also get a metal slide and barrel assembly for the model gun version Tanaka Glock, although it is a little pricey. You can also swap over the really cheap Wa Shan Glock slide and barrel with the Tanaka frame, so that would also work, but I am not sure how well that would function. I find the Wa Shan series to be great, and very reliable.

I can confirm that genuine Glock mags do fit in the Tanaka modelgun.
