The best way that I have sofar discovered to clean cartridges or modelguns is the baking soda/warm water/vingar. Although, it depends on just how bad the corrosion is in the barrel or cartridges. Just pour some baking soda into the chamber and then, pour in some vingar. It will remove all of the corrosion in a few seconds. The Detonator (the pin in the barrel) is usually difficult to remove form the M712 due to the length of the barrel. Usually, a small screw driver can be used to push out the detonator from the front after the set screw is removed.

I am sure that any one on the forum would be happy to get you the proper dimensions on the Marushin loading tool so you can make one.

As for the Marushin P38 parts you might email forum member "francky" and ask him for the parts as he can usually get spare parts for the older modelguns.

(I have measured it with a ruler by eye but I can use a micrometer when I get into work on Monday just to check them)
