Originally a die-cast manufacturer. In 1965 they made a joint-venture with Nakata, manufacturing modelguns designed by Nakata. Around 1974 Marushin started marketing under their own brand, in parallel to Nakata (who stopped around 1973) and TRC (co-brand with Nakata).

Marushin took over TRC brand and incorporated it into their own business. As late as in 1977 Marushin sold models from stock made by Nakata, with Nakata markings.

After 1985 some of models were designed for Marushin by Noboru Mutobe. To reduce costs, Marushin releases their modelguns as self-assembly kits.

Today probably the largest modelgun company left. They also make a lot of airsoft models.

Other names: Marusin, Marushin Kogyo (MKK), Marushin Diecast Industries.
