PFC or dummy? Empty
PostSubject: PFC or dummy?   PFC or dummy? Icon_minitimeWed Jan 20, 2010 10:19 am

I have been looking [staring] at the Shoei MP-44 again... want one badly Smile

I seem to remember someone, womewhere mentioned that the dummy version is better finished/assembled then the pfc version, is this true?

The last version was dummy only and had better/more correct stamps?

If there's any modelgun i should buy in 2010, i think it should be an MP-44...

Any input most welcome Smile

Shoei made three versions: dummy, airsoft, and cap-firing.

Cap-firing was only released in the first production batch (as far as I know), then due to issues with blowback idea was abandoned (just like cap-firing FG42).

Next batches (including current) consist of dummy and airsoft versions.

For each next production Shoei makes improvements to their design. In the last run they added a lot of Waffenamt stamps on parts:

I think that MP44 is sold out from Shoei, but their German salespoint still has some left (dummy version). Write them an email, they've been very helpful and solid for me:

Get one quick 2Sharp...you won't regret it...and if not, get a live firing one by German's Dittrich company (they're co-incidentally going the same direction with Shoei focusing on WWII weapons)...

Ah, good information.

Ok, i'll get one. Just need to wait another month so i'll have the funds. Who can source one for me, whar would be the least expensive way to get one?
