After getting quiet for some time Marushin reintroduced its "Hybrid" modelguns - at the time writing 2 models have been released - "Hyper Derringer" and "Hyper M1911A1":

Marushin Hybrid Hyperderringerfire

As the pic already revealed: from the 2 barrels the top one's for cap firing and the bottom one's for BB firing - the result of further legal consultations as it's clear now that Marushin (and other toygun makers) CANNOT use gunpowder as the power source...although not as good as expected but fair enough...

Marushin Hybrid 1911a1hybridfiresmallcut

Then this M1911A1...since it's single-barrelled so Marushin decided to sacrifice the BB firing action (i.e. load the caps to the shells and charge the mag with 134a gas) - for me, if the caps alone can already cycle the action then why added the weak-enough 134a for it which at the same time reduce the magazine capacity...? If the law prevents them from carry on with their original plan then Marushin should drop this whole plan altogether as this M1911A1 demonstrated it's only "semi-hybrid"...not an attractive piece for both airsoft and modelgun fans...

It's better for them to focus back on their "countless variants" of PPK...

jim, i find these interesting though because you dont have to rely on the round to do the blow back so using gas there should be no jams but you still get shells ejecting and muzzle blast. i would be interested to see a vid of the 1911 to see how loud it is and how powerful (or weak) the blowback is, with model gun companies all closing this might be the best we can expect for the future at least it goes bang and ejects a shell and of course the guns should be stronger full auto models would not blow themselves apart and a glock 18c that did not break would be great.

Just simulate the tone of those redneck radio talkback hosts that's all... Very Happy

One thing for sure - never expect "satisfactory" blowback actions from Marushin guns...

Here's a link to a video of the Derringer

I shouldn't think it'll be too long before the 1911 video makes its' youtube debut.

All I'm finding in online search is the gas blowback shell ejecting, nothing about a 1911 with caps...

Ah- says both available for pre-order and that it's in stock from Tokyo Central Hobbies. Wonder which is actually true?

Anybody ever ordered from them before?

Never ordered from them but this 1911 looks more and more interesting to me seems to solve a loyt of the problems normal modelguns have though i can se that blowback may not be as strong as with a cap but then how many models blow themselves to bits because the recoil action is too strong.
