8ace encouraged me to make a post of my soviet inspired custom cartridge cardboard boxes.
This started out as I bought an original 16 pcs Makarov box through Ebay (just the empty box)
I found the folding and function of the box fascinating, and decided to have a go making my own.
My (2130) HP printer can print envelopes and this is a needed function in order to print on heavier paper than ordinary printer (80gr. Quality) paper.
I enlarged the box to contain 25 pcs and tested it in standard paper before I ran the layout through the printer in the heavy paper/ light cardboard sheet.
Basically the box is made from 3 parts
a) Bottom/sides
b) Inside/top
c) Dividers
The bottom/sides are cut from the sheet and bend with the lines inside
The inside/top is a bit more demanding. Bend with the lines facing out, then cut to final size
By now the box can be assembled with a stick of ordinary paper glue.
Last is the cutting of all the dividers, to be assembled into a section that fit into the box
That’s it
