Hi Ncreptile and welcome to the forum.
It's not easy to say for certain based on the photos you've provided but I'd be inclined to think that the barrel fitted to this model is a standard Zinc item. The bolt's charging handle looks like Zinc too based only on the colour of the metal.
It's quite possible that you have a model capable of firing cap loaded cartridges NOT Blanks. To be sure, It'd be really useful to see some more detailed photos and confirtmation if the Bolt and barrel are Zinc or Steel. To be capable of safely firing Blank ammunition the receivers would need substantial strengthening too so photos would indicate if any has been done.
Until you know for certain, do NOT attempt to fire Blanks through it as the risk of a major blow-up are high. At best you could destroy the model, at worst you could cause yourself and/or others in close proximity serious injury.
