Just to give all of you a taste of what Japanese toy gun shops look like...

I believe some of the pics are showing the Noda-ya shop (I'm not sure which is which) - it was too far away from where I was when I visited Tokyo so I missed it...

Can anyone kindly advise on what're the toy gun shops in their countries look like (literal description is fine)?

In the part of the US where I live, modelguns are never seen in any shops. Some hobby shops and sporting goods stores have airsoft and paintball guns in small sections, though, sometimes with the BB and pellet guns. Blank guns are usually with the real steel weapons.
All non-guns made after a certain date must have a blaze orange barrel marking.

I don't know of ANY retail model gun shops in the US. I've only seen them for sale online from individuals. Thank goodness for all of us nuts here in the States that we have met people through this forum who have greatly contributed to our model gun madness .............

Like Ricks said, airsoft items are available in some places, but mostly just the crappy clear ones - not the high-end, realistic items. If you want realistic items, I think online is close to our only choice here in the US.
Of course, everything has the damn blaze orange tip, but I guess that's better than what our friends in the UK are facing now.

I planned to post something about Taiwanese gun shops - but sadly they banned modelguns way ahead of the Brits...

And for the Koreans they only make cheap airsoft toys - they know nothing about modelguns!
